It will be the very first Achievement you unlock. I am a little fuzzy on the lore behind this Achievement, but all we have to do to unlock it is load Half Life 2 - Episode 2 & reach the games Main Menu, & the Achievement will unlock as easy as that.
If you did not also receive the Achievement 'Manufacturing Ascent', Newell has abandoned his plans to shoot Noam Chomsky into space. There is no Achievement associated with Difficulty so play on whichever setting you like.Īchievement #1 - Gnome Alone: If you are reading this Achievement, Gabe Newell has successfully launched Gnome Chompski into space. Save often as redoing sections because you forget him a long way away, redoing sections will become a real pain. We must then carry this gnome aaaalllll the way to Chapter 6 & launch him into space. In the first Chapter we will find a garden gnome. Another important Achievement will be the Little Rocket Man. Unfortunately, that will not be all our tedium. The bad news is these are only found on two Chapters, which means these first Chapters are going to take the longest to complete. The good news is these are only found on two Chapters. Some Grub are far out of range & having the Pistol is almost essential for success. Grubs can be killed by the Gravity Gun so save the ammo when you can. In this Episode we have to squish Antlion Grubs for an Achievement, there are A LOT of them, so be patient. There are quite a few missable Achievements however so stay vigilant. All Achievements of Half Life 2 – Episode 2 can be earned in one playthrough.
